Move-in is an exciting time, and we’re looking forward to welcoming our Bulldogs back to campus. With one week left to go until move-in, here are some tips to make sure you’re prepared and ready to start the semester off right.

Before You Leave

Packing can be stressful, so it helps to make a list and stay organized. In addition to essentials like clothes, bedding, towels, your computer and school supplies, be sure to pack health and hygiene supplies like disinfecting wipes, soap, hand sanitizer and face masks. Double check that you’ve got often forgotten items, like an extra phone charger, headphones, extra toiletries, food and snacks. And remember to bring photos, posters and other decorations to make your dorm feel like home. For a comprehensive list of what to bring and what to leave behind, check out our .

When You Arrive

In order to make sure move-in runs smoothly and safely, make sure you’re reading and following all health and safety guidelines and check-in instructions. Note where to park, when your designated arrival time is, guest policies and all testing procedures. Visit the Check-In page for all the details, and be sure to check your Dean email regularly for any updates.

Getting Settled

It’s time to kick off the semester! Unpack and decorate your dorm room to help you feel settled, and make sure you’ve got your books, supplies and schedule ready for the first day of classes on Wednesday, September 8th. Get to know your roommate or catch up with friends about their summer. If you’re a first-year or transfer student, you’ll participate in Bulldog Beginnings, a three-day program to help you get acclimated to ¶¶ÒõÆƽâ°æ. Bulldog Beginnings will run September 5-7; more information about the schedule will be sent to your Dean email. All students are also invited to participate in the Welcome Back BBQ on Tuesday, September 7th, from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. in the Picnic Grove.
